Eight airports in the country are awarded the ‘On-Time Performance Star Ratings’ of the Official Aviation Guide (OAG), an air travel intelligence based in the United Kingdom.
The DOTr proudly released the result of the latest OAG rankings of airports’ punctuality worldwide.

After attaining the distinction of placing No. 12 on Asia’s best airports in October 2016 by interactive travel web site “The Guide to Sleeping in Airports,” Iloilo International Airport did it again, placing 14th on the list.
Iloilo International Airport outranked several airports in Asia such as Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia; Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea; and Hong Kong International Airport in the rankings.
The OAG is an air-travel intelligence company based in the United Kingdom. It provides digital information and applications to the world’s airlines, airports, government agencies and travel-related service companies.
The OAG is best known for its airline-schedule database, which holds future and historical flight details to more than 900 airlines and over 4,000 airports.
The OTP star rating is designed to benchmark against set criteria, defined by industry and
flight-status information experts. The OTP is measured across the whole year based on 12 months of rolling performance.
